Article Processing Charges

Publication charge

Acta Botanica Plantae operates under a gold open-access publishing model, ensuring that all published articles are freely and immediately accessible to readers worldwide without any subscription or access barriers. This model supports the global dissemination of scientific knowledge in plant sciences.

Beginning February 1, 2025, the journal will implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 75 (exclusive of applicable taxes) per accepted article, following the conclusion of our five-year waiver period. This APC supports the full range of publishing services provided by the journal, including rigorous peer review, professional editing, typesetting, digital archiving, and platform maintenance, thereby ensuring the continued quality and sustainability of the journal.

Authors will incur no additional charges beyond the APC, and fees apply only to articles that are accepted for publication following peer review.
